Colours Needed

First we need a set of primary colours, yellow, red and blue. Because no pigmented colour can be pure, the primary colours are only approximate:

• Cadmium Yellow,
• Cadmium Red,
• Cerulean Blue.

• Yellow Ochre,
• Alizarin Crimson,
• Ultramarine Blue.

The second group is more often used, these colours are only the basics and other colours may be added, like Raw Sienna and Burnt Sienna. Any other colours can be added into your repertoire after practice with the primary colours.
