Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) is the community healthcare provider in the boroughs of Barnet, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.
All posts at Open Age are subject to a 6 month probationary period, during which time you will be expected to demonstrate your suitability for the post.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Exercise Specialist with community outreach experience to join the charity Open Age whilst receiving clinical supervision through Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. The post holder will be responsible for running a project developing, co-ordinating and delivering community exercise programmes to older adults aimed at preventing falls and promoting independence. The project will work in partnership with local statutory and voluntary agencies. In addition to delivering and co-ordinating sessions the post holder will be responsible for developing links in the community to find appropriate staff to take up accredited training (Later Life and Otago Exercise Programme and Postural Stability Instructor Training). The Post Holder will take the lead in organising the accredited training as well as creating exercise groups with the newly trained instructors.
This new project will be based in community venues across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
Applicants will be positive and pro active with excellent interpersonal skills. They will have the initiative to work independently and develop a new project.
