New Housing for Overcrowded North Kensington

William Sutton St Quintin Park Estate, 1930 (Eddy Adams Collection)
Alongside the Western edge of the estate the postcard shows a landscaped section of Little Wormwood Scrubs
Stretching along the northern side of Dalgarno Gardens are large estates of flats. At the far end of the road, next to Little Wormwood Scrubs is the William Sutton St Quintin Park Estate, opened in 1930 to provide much needed 'modern' housing for local people who had been living in some of the worst conditions in North Kensington, namely in Notting Dale and the Southam Street area.
