The Carmelite Convent.

The Carmelite Convent is in the north west corner of St Charles Square with its entrance on Exmoor Street next to St Charles Hospital.

I attend mass here three mornings a week at 8.15a.m. I feel I am in heaven, as when I am there it is lovely to hear the nuns singing - they sound like angels singing in heaven.

In the last few months things have changed in the church as the nuns can now come out and do the readings on the altar. Before this the nuns did the readings from the back of a screen in a side chapel and we did not see them. There are now open gates to the nuns chapel.
