Keeping Healthy -Hospitals and Parks
Within the boundaries of this corner of North Kensington are two hospitals, St Charles (originally called the Marylebone Infirmary) and Princess Louise Hospital.
In the farthest corner of the area was Little Wormwood Scrubs, separated from the main Wormwood Scrubs by a railway line and a road. Before the major house building took place, the land north of St Quintins Avenue was used as a cricket ground.

It is said that for a short time, Queens Park Rangers Football team practised just off St Quintin's Avenue. Later St Marks Park or the Kensington War Memorial Park was completed.
